  • 6 Apr 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the father of the Leader of the Official Opposition at Independence told us to forgive the past but not to forget it. These were very important words for a nation like Kenya. They are important to us because a time has come when we must forgive the past and not forget it. I wrote an article recently on this subject. We must forgive the past and not forget it. We have been wronged. Our children are walking in the streets with no food, because of corruption. Our youths have no jobs, because of corruption and we all ... view
  • 5 Apr 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand here to support this Report and to clarify a few issues since I was in Cabinet at that particular time. I can name them if you want me to name them. view

  • 5 Apr 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, what I meant to say was that corruption is so deep-rooted from Independence to today that we must now resolve these problems once and for all. If we do not, I can assure you that this debate will be repeated after 2007, and even after 2012, but it will never come to an end. We must find a way of bringing it to an end. This will ensure that our people stop getting poorer and poorer. April 5, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 407 view
