• 25 Jun 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I mentioned here that I have allocated Kshs500,000 to the OCPD for quarterly supplies. Once that money gets to the OCPD, he can allocate the same money to the OCSs. But since he is complaining that the amount of fuel allocated is not enough, I will be able to increase the amount to Kshs35,000 per month for Githunguri. Why am I doing that? I have said that, even within this year's Budget, we have increased the amount of money in terms of fuel. Now that I have given him an extra vehicle to patrol the area, he should, at least, thank the Government for having done that. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, if there is anything else he wants the Government to look into I am ready in order for his people to sleep without any problems. view
• 25 Jun 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to assure the Member, as a colleague, that whatever money is allocated for the supply or purchase of fuel will definitely reach the Githunguri Police Station. Any police officer found misusing fuel or money allocated for purposes of purchasing fuel will be interdicted immediately! view

Whether the Minister is there or not, the Motion belongs to the House. The good thing is that the hon. Member had already contributed to this particular Motion. I would request him to let his colleagues also contribute to this Motion. It is from this Motion that our CDF money will come. You are aware that the money meant for CDF has not been disbursed. (a) Two persons, namely, Nahashon Omondi Wado alias "Chief" and Kenneth Baraza Ruchu alias "Kivo" were arrested and charged with the offence of murder vide police file No.811233/08, which is at Kitale Police Station and Kitale High Court File No.13/008. The case is still pending before court and the hearing date is set for 18th September, 2008. (b) The third suspect known as Isaac Masengeli is still being sought by the police and a warrant of arrest has already been obtained for his arrest. • 18 Jun 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the two suspects who were arrested earlier are the same people who gave us information as to where the body had been dumped. They took my police officers to the site. They saw the body and identified it as that of Mr. Orina. The third suspect ran out of this country. He was away. We followed him up to the neighbouring country. We have very strong leads to assist us to arrest him. I have ordered the police to make sure that this man is arrested, latest by Saturday this week, and arraigned in court by Monday ... view
• 18 Jun 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, let us not speculate this issue. This is an issue which involves life and I would want it to rest there until we arrest the third suspect. Then we will know why they had to kill him. All those people who were involved in the killing of this young man will also be arrested. I want to assure this House that if you kill, you will be arrested and charged with murder! view
