  • 15 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I appreciate. With regard to the New Clause 159(b), the Constitution talks of minimum and maximum acreage of land. This new inclusion gives exceptions and consideration on how to decide the issue of the minimum and maximum land acreage. They have to take into consideration the ecological zones, demographic factors, land use and land tenure system. view
  • 15 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Finally, still on that, it says there will be public participation to make observation and representation in accordance with the principle of participation of the people, good governance, transparency and accountability. More importantly, it talks of the final report being tabled before Parliament for debate and approval. When that comes to this House, as representatives of the people, we will take into consideration all these factors when deciding on the minimum and maximum acreage. Thank you, Hon.
