This Bill is of great importance as it is meant to give effect to one of the most sensitive provisions of the Constitution, namely, the management of natural resources that is key to our survival as a nation. The Bill intends to give effect to Article 69 of the Constitution with regard to forest resources and to repeal the Forest Act, 2005.
