This is a very important Motion to me, considering that community health workers do such a great job that impacts on almost everything that has to do with livelihood. Sometime this year, around the month of May, I had an encounter with community health volunteers. They were going round every other home in the village checking out whether the homes had toilets and sanitation facilities. Can they be included in this exercise so that they are trained and are able to give more services than they are already giving and be recognized?   • 22 Oct 2019 in Senate: wish that we could be able to engage more, empower and see that they are helping the community. We should appreciate them and give them some pay for what they are doing. I really support this and thank Sen. Nyamunga for coming up with this Motion. Let us recognize our community health workers, give them training and some pay. It is a resolution of this House, which can only be undone by another resolution of the House. It is now a resolution of the House versus a ruling of the Speaker of the House.
