(a) Is the Minister aware that four people from Sio Port area in Funyula Division, a councillor, an assistant chief and two others are being detained at Busia Police Station unlawfully for about two months now? (b) What urgent steps is the Minister taking to ensure their release?

Mr. Speaker, Sir, the information I have is that these people have been in the police cell for over two months now. The list of names should have increased, which means that there are more people who should have been apprehended together with the four and nothing has happened. The four people are still being held in the police cell. Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister aware that Road C29 was going to join Road C30, starting from Bumala to Rwambwa, and that these two jobs were running concurrently? Is he also aware that Road D250 was also going to be worked on at the same time to meet Roads C30 and C29 at Rwambwa en-route to Port Victoria? Could the Assistant Minister tell us what progress they have made on Road C30 and how these three roads are going to connect in that loop?

This Bill is for an Act of Parliament to make provision for the training, registration and licensing of supplies practitioners to regulate their practice and for connected purposes. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, corruption in this country is considered as a national disaster. It negates the gains this country and Government are trying to make. Procurement has been used by corrupt individuals as a means of enriching themselves. This country spends nearly Kshs150 billion on public procurement every year. Could he instruct the DC to address the two communities in order to defuse this tension and give them an official position?
