Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to request the Assistant Minister to give a time-frame within which the next tranche of Mr. Alukutsa's dues will be paid because it might take the next three years for Reli SACCO to release his terminal benefits. I would like the Assistant Minister to try and speed up that process.

Alukutsa his terminal benefits despite his having been acquitted by the Chief Magistrate's Court at Nakuru; and, (b) what action is being taken against the Society for failing to honour such an obligation.

asked the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources:- (a) if he could confirm whether the Government received Kshs100 million from the Spanish Government on 23rd April, 2007, and that the funds were meant for the conservation of Mau Forest; and, (b) whether he could state the specific programmes to be undertaken using the funds and indicate the cost of each.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, when I filed this Question, I directed it to the Ministry of Regional Development Authorities, but it was redirected to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. This issue was very much highlighted in the Media and it will be very sad if no funds were received. In this case, I would request you to defer this Question, so that it can be re-directed to the relevant Ministry of Regional Development Authorities.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to state that I got this information partly from the members of the Fourth Estate. The Mau Forest matters a lot in my constituency because it drains rivers into Lake Nakuru, which is a source of living for a lot of people in my constituency. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like the Assistant Minister to consult her colleague in the Ministry of Regional Development Authorities because he is the one who received this money on behalf of the Government.
