  • 6 Apr 2017 in Senate: I think the issue here is a little different. First of all, this statement was approved by the Speaker. So, it is properly before the House and an answer is expected. Secondly, Standing Order No.90 that you are referring to talks about personal conduct of the President, the Speaker of any judge. However, if you look at the statement being sought, it is on a directive allegedly issued. So, we want to know whether such a statement was issued in the first instance. The trouble is that now we do not have Ministers sitting in the Houses, because we changed the Constitution.
