  • 6 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Attorney-General what action he is taking to streamline reservation of names, registration of businesses and incorporation of companies in the light of recent alarming public revelations that there is duplication in the incorporation and issuance of certificates for companies. view
  • 6 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank the Attorney-General for that answer. It, in effect, admits that there is duplication in the registration of business entities and professional companies. However, considering the gravity of the situation, the answer is not satisfactory. The prevailing situation is very dangerous. As you might recollect, a while ago, the Artur brothers registered a company known as Kensington Ltd, while another company was previously incorporated in the same name. • 29 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources the following Question by Private Notice. What urgent steps is the Minister taking to avert the destruction of flora and fauna in Lake Victoria by an algae invasion that threatens the livelihood of millions of Kenyans and other populations in the diaspora? view
  • 29 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for that answer but it is far from satisfactory. As we speak now, the invasion by algae on Lake Victoria is so serious that Lake Victoria is actually turning green. We are, therefore, courting a disaster of immense proportions unless it is put on check immediately. What concrete measures is the Assistant Minister taking to ensure reversal of the lake turning green immediately? view
  • 29 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: No, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 28 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
