  • 10 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. While I feel compelled to support the position of hon. Keter, is he in order to start saying this one is from Nyanza, yet he knows very well that in this country positions are always shared between the President and the Prime Minister? Position holders will come from either Central Province or Nyanza Province. Is he in order? view
  • 10 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would not like to interrupt my friend. However, the issue of Maria Nzomo is not based on the sole fact that she is a Kamba or whichever way you look at her. The argument canvassed in this House is not whether she is a Luhya or a Kamba. The argument canvassed is that she is the most qualified and that is why she came top. Is he in order to keep referring to Eastern Province and Kambas as if Kambas do not have a right to belong to this ... view
  • 10 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the good Minister in order to keep on referring to the fact that these nominations were being done on county balancing considerations whereas Makueni which is the biggest county in Kenya, which the Temporary Deputy Speaker comes from, has had nobody nominated? view
  • 8 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. This Assistant Minister has always asked for time - a week or two - to come back and give answers. A case in point is a matter of employees of Guruman in Magadi where he was supposed to bring a report. But he never brought any report. The other case is that of an employee who used to work with an Italian restaurant called Austeria in Village Market. The same Assistant Minister came and said that he needed to be given two weeks to bring a report here. Now, again, he ... view
  • 8 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Yes! East African Safaris is another case. The same Assistant Minister is notorious of not answering Questions and asking for more time yet, he does not come back to give a feedback. Is he in order to ask for time extension this time round? view
  • 8 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. When I rose on a point of order, earlier, I enumerated three cases where the same Assistant Minister stood here to give confirmation on matters where employees will be paid and yet he has not managed to do that. You can see now that he has refused to give an undertaking. In view of this, would I be in order to ask you to give a direction that the substantive Minister must appear before this House and give an undertaking because the Assistant Minister is used to taking this House ... view
  • 3 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, while appreciating that this is one of the most hardworking Ministers, my issue is the levels of health centres which are given, yet services and equipment are--- If you go to Mutito Sub-District Hospital, it does not have equipment to offer services. For instance, it does not have an ambulance, yet a sub- district hospital requires an ambulance. Could the Minister inform the House what she will do to ensure that all such hospitals are equipped with the facilities which they need to have to cater for the people? view
  • 3 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. listening to the Assistant Minister, he is not answering the question that the hon. Member has asked. The hon. Member is talking about the poor state of the works; the quality o the work. So, can the Assistant Minister answer about the shoddy work that the contractor is doing and what they are doing and not about the money they have allocated? view
  • 3 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to get a few clarifications from the Minister. view
  • 3 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, let me confine myself to two, but with your indulgence, I would have wanted three. view
