  • 7 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is true that ambitious projects have been begun by this Ministry in markets, specifically Ikutha Market. How much has the Assistant Minister set aside now that he has said that he has funds? Could he tell the people of Ikutha how much money he has set aside to complete this market? As everybody is saying, this is a problem all over the country, including Mutito Constituency. view

  • 6 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Roads when the Ministry will rehabilitate the section of the Kitui-Zombe Road at Ngai Ndethya corner in Kiongwe village, Thua Location. view
  • 6 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, if you look at the Question which the Minister is attempting to answer, part “a” asks when the Ministry will rehabilitate the section of the Kitui-Zombe Road at Ngai Ndethya corner in Kiongwe village, Thua Location. At that time the Assistant Minister came here and said the money they had set aside was Kshs3 million. You directed the Assistant Minister to go back and come up with a specific answer on the money which is supposed to be spent on this part after I said the area was in a very bad state. What the Assistant Minister ... view
  • 6 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to reiterate my question that the area of Ngai Ndethya was tarmacked but the tarmac has since worn out. An amount of Kshs3.6 million cannot even tarmack 100 meters. Since the Assistant Minister says that they are going to repair this section, how much more does the Ministry intend to use to re-carpet this area? Kshs3 million is not enough. I have visited this area with the good Minister and Assistant Minister and they promised to put in a lot more. view

  • 5 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is clearly becoming very disturbing that when a Chair stands here to table a report, we see objections coming even before the report is properly before the House to be interrogated. To uphold dignity of this House, we must ensure that when the report comes to the Floor of the House, it has to be tabled first before issues are raised. view
  • 30 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I am rising on a point of order that while you are deferring the Question, could the Assistant Minister also come with information to tell us whether this boat was insured or not? That information would be good to enable us interrogate this matter. view
  • 30 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, first I want to thank the Minister for having identified Kitui Stadium but could he tell this House how much he has allocated to Kitui Stadium which he has listed? What is he going to do with encroachers because the Stadium has been encroached by land grabbers? view
  • 23 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. With a lot of respect to the Assistant Minister whom I hold in high regard, is he in order to say that they have been preparing this Bill and yet I sit in the Departmental Committee on Lands and Natural Resources which oversees the functions of the Ministry? This Bill has not even been discussed by our Committee. view
