• 25 Feb 2020 in Senate: THAT, Clause 46 of the Bill be amended⎯ (a) in sub-clause (1) by deleting the word “pupil” and substituting therefor the word “learner”; and (b) by deleting sub-clause (3) and substituting therefor the following new sub-clause⎯ “(3) A head teacher or a member of the board of management of a public education centre who imposes a charge or causes any parent or guardian to pay tuition fees commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand shillings or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or to both.” view
