I requested all the Senators to expeditiously pass this Motion and shorten the debate for us to have the requisite number of Senators to vote. However, the concern raised by the Senator is genuine because many people would like to follow the debate. view

We take matters of persons with disability very seriously in this House. This House is not a House of majoritarianism; this House is about equality of counties. We passed the Constitution knowing that we have 47 equal counties. Kiambu County cannot have undue advantage by virtue of Sen. Wamatangi and Sen. Mwaura having an extra vote. It must be treated equally with Lamu County which does not have a nominated Senator. That is the philosophy of devolution. ... view
