  • 14 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have no problem with that. view
  • 14 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has just given the chronology of the indiscipline of the officer. But he has not given any information about the sick leave, or the days that he was sick. That is because from the answer he has given, the officer was admitted on 24th March and dismissed on 3rd April. That is just a week. Did the officer take any sick leave? Which are the dates that he was away? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Special Programmes:- (a) whether she could indicate the number and particulars of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who are still in camps and also state their current locations; and, (b) whether she could also provide details of the IDPs that the Government is planning to resettle in Mau-Narok area of Nakuru District and also provide an inventory and details of the parcels of land the IDPs were occupying prior to the Post Election Violence (PEV)? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Minister for that answer. However, there has been talk out there that the Government, instead of settling displaced persons, is settling landless people especially from one community. Could she confirm this position? If that is the case, the issue of landlessness in Kenya runs through the whole country and not in one section. Is it the Government position to settle landless people and not those who were displaced? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, in the answer given by the Assistant Minister to one part of the Question, he has accepted that Maungu Police Post was closed down because of unhabitable housing conditions. He has also just confirmed that there is a critical problem of lack of transport. How does the Government expect this district to operate, considering that availability of transport and housing is critical? Who is supposed to provide staff with housing in this Ministry? view
  • 25 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) to provide a list of all new districts created in the last five years and state how many of them have fully operational District Security and Intelligence Committees (DSICs); and, (b) how much funds have been allocated to each of the districts for construction of district headquarters. view
  • 25 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, arising from the answer that the Assistant Minister has given, there are two categories of districts; there are those which received the normal routine allocation from the Ministry and there is another category which received the Economic Stimulus Programme Funds (ESPF). All of them received Kshs30 million and above. How did the Assistant Minister arrive at the figures of Kshs30 million, Kshs36 million and Kshs39 million to some districts while others did not receive anything? view
  • 25 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, from the answer that the Assistant Minister has given, some districts have received Kshs30 million for construction of the district headquarters, while Narok District, for instance, has just received Kshs5.5 million to build a district headquarters and it is 90 per cent complete. What is the rationale of giving some districts more funds for the same construction of district headquarters while others receive less for completion of the same district headquarters? view
  • 24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) whether he could provide a list of all new districts created in the last five years and state how many of them have fully operational District Security and Intelligence Committees (DSICs); and, (b) how much funds have been allocated to each of the districts for construction of District Headquarters. view
