  • 14 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell us when we shall have the petitioned inter-Ministerial policy-level meeting, so that we can tell the communities that the final decision will be reached by an inter-Ministerial meeting expected to take place on a specific date? If he can tell us that, I will stick to it and be obliged. view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to get a clarification from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government. If you talk to everybody in Kenya, people think KKV is a project for manual labour. We know that the effect of this money can be felt more if it was invested in cottage industries. What view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: is the Prime Minister doing in considering the possibility of shifting the input of KKV funds into other uses, particularly in cottage industries? view
  • 18 Jan 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister look into this Question from a national perspective? One is on compensation; we know that even if the Government does not wish to give the compensation, we could go to a court of law, but it may not be necessary to do that. Could the Assistant Minister clarify why he asserts that they will not give compensation because this should be done in this particular case, the crime having been committed by somebody on duty using Government bullets to kill our people? Two, I would like a clarification on ... view
  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand to oppose the amendment. I do not think substituting the word “or” with the word “and” adds value. When you have the word “or” you actually have a wider opening for more legislative power. I would have been happy if the Mover had looked at Article 255 and suggested that we remove sub-clause (1) (j). It would enable us to even change other things in future. Right now, we are going to have a tie around our neck that cannot be untied because we are, definitely, passing this Draft Constitution. With those remarks, I beg ... view
  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. With your permission, would I be in order to request - so that we save time - that the ringing of the bell also be reduced from four minutes to two minutes? view
  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of information, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
