The number of hawkers in the city has increased steadily due to the slow economic growth which does not create conditions for the supply of labour force and partly due to lack of preparedness to accommodate the informal activities in the city. Mr. Speaker, Sir, “the Nairobi we Want Blue Print” has been superseded by quite a number of other visions, including the Vision 2030 and the Nairobi Metropolis Vision. So, we are using the latest plans for that matter.
