8 Feb 2017 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to add to this Bill. This Bill is very important and I support it. This Bill is very important because there are cases of sexual offences in all our counties. We do not know how to address them because there is no law in place. In the upper classes in primary schools, we need to introduce sex education lessons so that students are taught what happens. There are cases where some young girls are raped and cheated by their classroom teachers who give them sweets and lie ...

26 Oct 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I oppose this Bill and feel it is mischievous, misleading, not open and has something funny in it. That is why it is being called progressive. It does not have definite timelines and I feel that it is not good.

26 Oct 2016 in National Assembly:
The reasons why Kenyans voted for the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, was to have inclusivity of the marginalised, women, youth and the disabled. I feel that this Bill is misleading, not open and that is why majority of the women in this House oppose it. Women are more than 60 per cent of the population of Kenya and majority of the men in this House were voted in by women. Unfortunately, male legislators in this House do not support anything to do with women. I want the Kenyan women to know that when they vote for men, they come to ...

26 Oct 2016 in National Assembly:
Women outside there should know that not all male representatives have good hearts to give them everything that is promised to them by the Constitution. For example, in Rwanda, 64 per cent of parliamentarians are women, Tanzania has 35 per cent and Uganda 23 per cent. Kenya is the most developed and civilised country in East Africa, but when it comes to anything to do with women, male counterparts take us back.

12 Oct 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to thank Hon. David Ochieng for bringing this Bill, which has come at the right time. We have many parastatals in Kenya, majority of which are not making profit. They make losses because of bad governance. This Bill has come at the right time, so that this institution can train directors to be professional. Many parastatals like the Mumias Sugar Company, Uchumi and the National Bank do not even make profit because of lack of commitment. We have CEOs who dictate to the board of directors because ...

5 Oct 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I want to thank Hon. Njuki for coming up with this noble Bill. It is a good idea to have the Kenyatta Mausoleum because Jomo Kenyatta fought for the freedom of this country. We should put that historical fact into the minds of our children. The mausoleum will promote patriotism. Countries like China have also conserved their history. People visit South Africa to learn about the history of Nelson Mandela. We do not have a place to learn about our history. It is, therefore, important for us to have such a place. A mausoleum also ...

22 Jun 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support this Motion by Hon. Cheptumo. Being a Member of Parliament from the pastoralist side, I know it is very important. This has become a culture and a practice. It should be avoided. I support the proposal of setting up the fund for the victims. I blame the Government and the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. If we declare cattle rustling a national disaster, what will we call terrorism? What has happened? We really allocate a lot of money to the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government but ...
