One was being organized by a private company called the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), and the other by the Kenya Football Federation Premier League (KFF). In 2003, some KFF Premier League clubs rebelled against the KFF and started their own November 22, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3863 league under the title of Inter-Clubs Consultative Group (ICCG). So many people have complained to me, including some hon. Members who have served before in those KFF committees, about the interference in football in this country. I appointed a probe committee to probe Mr. Bob Munro, who is not a Kenyan. Once the report is out, the Government will take action. view

This falls under the companies category and I have no power to deal with it. I believe I will get to the root cause of this problem since I have appointed a probe team. Once I get the cause of the problem, I will be able to sort it out once and for all. view

While I support this year's Budget proposals, I want to remind the Minister for Finance that allocations for my Ministry have been reduced considerably that we may not be able to operate. I say so because last year the allocation for my Ministry was Kshs1.9 billion. It has now been reduced to Kshs1.7 billion.
