1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I seek the indulgence of the House because I am unable to move this Motion because the Chairman of this Committee is out of the country on parliamentary business and all the other Members who could have seconded me are not in the House. I propose that we defer this Motion to either Wednesday or Thursday, next week.

24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, Kenyans are known to be lovers of meat. There was a law that required all meat to be inspected. Why are butchers allowed to flout this law, which provides that meat should not be eaten until it is inspected?

24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like some clarifications. You heard the Assistant Minister say that they have written to the Ministry of State for Defence, so that they can be assisted to beef up security along the border. I find that very strange because the OLF is a foreign force operating illegally in Kenya. I believe the job of the defence force is to protect Kenyans, irrespective of which border we are talking about. So, why should we ask them to do their job and yet, they are paid to do so?

17 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, you are aware that Kenyans outside this country find it very difficult to get jobs when they are outside the country. What is the Government doing to make sure that the few jobs that are available in Kenya are given to Kenyans only? When we contract Chinese companies in this country, we should make sure they do not bring their own people from China to do the jobs here.

11 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, while I appreciate the good answers that our good Minister has continuously given to this House, I am disturbed when he gives some answers and no action is followed. I asked a Question four months ago relating to the Ndakaini-Gichagine Road which was abandoned by a contractor. The good Minister gave an answer in this House which was very colourful. He said that he will look for a contractor nearby to do that road which is only four and a half kilometres. Up-to-date, nothing has been done on that road. Could he clarify on that?

10 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the Prime Minister in order to say that he would like our goods to be more competitive when he is aware that when we bring Chinese contractors into this country, they bring in their own people, food, toilet papers and everything, including even soda?

2 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Some time ago, Ndakaini Dam was put up in the same area; that is in the larger Murangâa District. When that dam was being put up, the people living in that area were separated. When the Government will be compensating them, could it consider giving them cash and land so that the families that have lived together for generations are not separated?
