Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister is not prepared to tell us the whole story! He can start by telling us who is Intertek International Limited in the first place. What does he know about Intertek International Limited? The Question is: What criteria was used? Why can he not just tell us the truth rather than beating about the bush?

asked the Minister for Industrialization:- (a) whether he could explain what became of the Kenya Industrial Estates and table the audited accounts since its inception; (b) whether he could provide an update on all the projects undertaken by the corporation to date; and (c) whether he could state what steps he is taking to return the corporation to optimal operation. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when I look at the answer the Assistant Minister has given, I reckon that in my district, teachers who graduated in 2000 have not been recruited by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). This is, indeed, a very serious issue. If teachers will be going to school and wait for ten years to be recruited by the TSC, are we really, as a Government, serious, in eradicating unemployment?
