Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I thought that I was not connected. I have been raising my hand for a while, but did not get called. However, I am glad that you saw me. I am going to comment on this Statement about mental health. As my colleagues have said, mental health has a poor connotation that if you are mentally sick, you are less than a human being. The question of treating those people with respect then arises. The person did not choose to be mentally ill. It just happened. Secondly, it seems to me that we should also ...

not enough doctors to deal with mental illness. That means that some training must be put into account. Some money should be spent on training of doctors so that our people can get the services that they need. In this ...

People must be respected and paid for the work that they put in. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to support. I thank you.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I am going to pick up from where other Senators left off. I want to reiterate the fact that there is a lot of discrimination in the way IDPs are treated in this country. They are all over the country and I am surprised that even the ones in Kakamega are given the same treatment as the ones in Turkana. IDPs are all over Turkana. These are people that were displaced from other parts of Kenya. In Turkana, they built some of the ugliest structures and told them to stay there such that whenever the ...
