  • 12 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, my personal position is that we should debate this Report, because that is the way forward. After we have finished it and adopted it, it will go to the next committee. view

  • 12 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. As our Chairman has said, we are facing a very serious challenge. The accounting officers were there when the money was spent. In the past, we could understand that accounting officers were not in office then. It was understandable but now, we have accounting officers who are in office, but who are buying time not to appear before the PAC to provide information. • 12 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: see the way forward in terms of whether we can do the report with the observations of the Auditor-General. Something should be done to the accounting officers to comply. They are given a time-table and a letter is written to them and they confirm that they will appear. • 28 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am raising a point of order on the Report we are discussing. So, I do not know whether we can continue discussing this Report when the main reason why we are here is missing. I have checked at the Office of the Clerk and the memorandum is not there. I have also consulted with the Chairperson--- view
  • 28 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Yes, the Petition. We want to see what the Petition is saying because that is the basis of our discussion. If that Petition is not here, how do we move on? Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I need your guidance. Thank you. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 28 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to raise this point on the Petition. I have gone through this letter and I have noted that it is not dated when it was received. I thank the Committee for taking the action that they took. Two, the signature of this letter and the identification card attached to the person are different. It is as if it is an identification card of 8th February, 2014. I have a challenge. If you also look at the Petition, you will find that they did not leave a telephone number on ... view
