  • 22 Feb 2023 in Senate: I can tell you that half of these Members were leaders from high school just like I said earlier. I wish you well. You have been given an opportunity by the other students to lead them. Practise it fairly, with justice and with integrity because your integrity begins from where you are. view

  • 30 Dec 2022 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity. These two minutes will not be enough for us to congratulate the Committee and Her Excellency, Hon. Kawira. I thank the Committee. When we talked to them as it was being formed, we requested them to be fair and honest in their dealings. We told them we would like Kenyans to see the integrity of this House and they did it. Congratulations to this Committee and we really appreciate you. view

  • 30 Dec 2022 in Senate: I also want to congratulate Her Excellency the Governor for the way she handled herself and with a lot of decorum, speaking nothing but the truth. So, there is no way you can dodge the truth so that you say one truth when you are talking to the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and another truth when you are talking to other leaders. So, I congratulate her for standing firmly on truth. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I drove all the way from Eldoret ... view

  • 20 Dec 2022 in Senate: First, there is no difference between Plenary and the Committee. We need to be fair to the people of Meru, just to the people of this country and do a clean job. I was listening to the debate and we were giving the country the impression that the Members of the Committee will not do a good job. That is one thing we need to avoid. If we give the impression that committees will not do a good job, it is different. I agree with the fact that we needed to have done a Kamukunji. It helps to ventilate and ... view
  • 20 Dec 2022 in Senate: The issue is about Governor Kawira. We need to be fair to her as much as we need to be fair to the people of Meru and to the MCAs who have issues. We must be trusted as a Senate. For us to be trusted, I challenge the Members who have been nominated to the Committee, they must be seen to be just, now that it looks like we are going the Committee direction. We must be seen to be just, truthful and honest. view
