7 Dec 2023 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity. I rise to support the Statement by Sen. Tabitha Mutinda on the assault of a female passenger by a matatu conductor. When you watch the clip that Sen. Tabitha Mutinda has referred to, it is very worrying on where our society is going. It makes you wonder whether the tout was in his normal senses, drunk or intoxicated. It tells a lot ...

7 Dec 2023 in Senate:
We hope that overloading will come to an end. So, we want this statement to go beyond the Thika incident. Let them check whether there is any behaviour that is unbecoming. I hope the Committee can go to a station and walk incognito into matatus even before they identify themselves. I am saying this because we should be reaching a level where matatu touts have their names on the uniform, so that we know who they are. In fact, beyond the name, there should be a name and a telephone number. We need to be able to identify them. The ...

17 Oct 2023 in Senate:
Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker for giving me the opportunity to support this Motion. I congratulate the Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations for a job well done. I say so because I happen to have become a friend to the Committee on the last day of their tour of Eldoret City to be. I was very impressed by the detailed manner with which the Committee was raising issues. I was also impressed by the interaction between our Committee and the public. It was a public participation per excellence . People were given opportunities and not restrained. Madam Temporary ...
