County governments now manage and control all Level 1 to Level 5 health facilities under their jurisdiction. County governments are therefore, required to procure all medical supplies for the county health facilities under their jurisdiction. Section 67 of the Health Act, 2017 further provides that the county government can opt to procure medical supplies from KEMSA.
