  • 27 Jul 2021 in Senate: Clause 25 of the Bill brings to light the issue of credit guarantee schemes. Finances are a major challenge for any start-up in the country. Capital is an issue. Many times, small start-ups look into their savings and it is not sustainable. Therefore, having a credit guarantee scheme will allow these start-ups to grow and not have financial challenges. For a very long time, our coffee farmers have been at a disadvantage. The sector has had issues to do with beeping of prices, financial indiscipline, and climate change among other issues but nothing has been done in this sector.
