The Constitution of Kenya also protects the rights of children to education, nutrition, shelter, health and parental care. Issues to do with health, social mobility and mental health among others. Indeed, violence against children affects the entire social ecology from the individual to the full society. Cases of child abuse have almost tripled in the recent past, and made worse during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
