  • 6 Oct 2022 in Senate: this country have seen me campaign around Kipipiri and Nyandarua. As a young person, I will tell them that what has brought me this far was education. I come from a very humble background in a small village. The sky is not the limit but the limit is your own self. Just believe in yourselves, work very hard and you shall become whosoever you want to become. I wish you all the best as you undertake your studies. Additionally, I would wish that one day when I become the president of this country, one of you will be representing me ... view
  • 5 Oct 2022 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. From the outset, you have to bear with the Senate Majority Leader and the Senator for Kericho. According to the tongue of the area where he comes from, Nine and 90 are close to each other and they pronounce them almost synonymously. As I rise to support the Procedural Motion as has been brought by the Leader of Majority, I think there is something that I have liked from the proposal. I think that 15 minutes are enough for a Senator to prosecute his case. I will be able to prosecute my case and ... view

  • 5 Oct 2022 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are trying to do what we are supposed to do. I would like to quote Standing Order No.117(1)(e) which states that a Senator commits an act of gross disorderly conduct if the Senator deliberately gives false information to the Senate. Sen. Osotsi, a respectable Senator for Vihiga, has given false information. He said that in the President’s Address--- view
  • 5 Oct 2022 in Senate: The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate. view
  • 5 Oct 2022 in Senate: I am not talking about what you have said. The Deputy Speaker ruled on the issue of Kshs2 billion. Sen. Osotsi in his submission alleged that the President never mentioned anything about corruption. If you look at Paragraph 19 of the President’s Address, he said that he will seek additional resources to support the bottom-up scaling of justice and empower the Judiciary to acquire capacity and develop infrastructure needed to more efficiently adjudicate and expeditiously conclude corruption cases. view
  • 5 Oct 2022 in Senate: In my opinion, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Senator for Vihiga is completely out of order to mislead the House that the President, in his address, did not touch on corruption. view
  • 4 Oct 2022 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. First and foremost, I wish to state that we are now engaged in a debate of not appreciating the times we are living in. They want to force a marriage that is already broken. view
  • 4 Oct 2022 in Senate: You have to listen to me, my colleagues. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Senator in question; Sen. Ali Roba, is in this House. He is the Party Leader of the Party in question. The Constitution has given him the freedom of choice of where he wants to belong. That notwithstanding, we also find ourselves in a situation where a person stands here and tells us that he is the Secretary General of a Party and that he signed whatever document that he signed. However, at the tail end of his speech, he wants you to tell him what the coalition has ... view
  • 4 Oct 2022 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I had spoken to the point of order of Sen Omogeni. I now support the Motion as has been presented by the Senate Majority Leader, seconded by the Senate Minority Leader and supported by the Senator for Siaya, Sen. (Dr.) Oburu Odinga. From the onset, I state that I was sent here by the people of Nyandarua County to come and represent them. As somebody has already mentioned, the people on Nyandarua County are not interested on who is the Member of the Senate Business Committee; they are interested in the business that we shall be transacting ... view
