  • 5 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, you are only not giving me time to finish. I apologize to hon. Gitari and I hope once the documents are tabled the truth about what I am talking will come out. Kenyans must know the truth about this. view
  • 30 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise to give a vote of confidence to this Motion because it touches on the lives of Kenyans, namely, our young children. We know very well that a nation that invests in its young ones invests in the future properly. Hon. Abdullahi has just enforced what is the norm because we know very well that free education is now a constitutional right for every Kenyan. It is not something that this House will so much engage in debating. The Government should take seriously any right that is already enshrined in the Constitution, ... view

  • 30 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: money has been plundered. We have reports in the previous Auditor-General’s reports that money in the Ministry of Education including the money meant for the free primary education is being squandered by the Ministry officials. We have not seen a head teacher being arraigned in court for playing around with this money. This country must wake up and this Parliament must take its responsibility seriously and ensure that corruption is not entertained when we are dealing with serious issues pertaining to this nation. This money is bound to push this country towards the achievement of the Vision 2030. That is ... view

  • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this Motion. I arise to support this Motion by hon. Charles Nyamai. It is a very noble idea coming at a time when the world is getting digital. As a country, we do not have an option other than to follow the footsteps of the new technology and make sure that all our processes are digitalized for efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of service to every Kenyan. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, about this issue of documentation, I want to say has become the biggest nightmare for ... view
  • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: who commit crimes to get identified. If the security system is completely harmonized with a central system where all the information on every citizen is available, then cases of insecurity will be minimized. This will really help our security agencies to identify any Kenyan at any level. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the most crucial point of registration is at the point of birth; that is where we need to be able to access all the vital information on every citizen. Through the same process of unifying the identification process, we will also note that this country is dependent so much ... view
  • 3 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I rise to support this Motion. It is about the future of this country in terms of the precedence and the dignity of the House. I want to thank the Chairperson of the Committee for being a patriotic Kenya and rising above regional politics to execute her mandate dutifully in order to save Kenyans. This report is not about the nominees themselves; it is about a process and the rule of law. It is about the credibility of a legal process. It is about accountability of a process that has already been set by the law. The ... view
  • 3 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Committee did was to rise above regional party politics and any other interests. There interest was to serve the interest of this country. The interest here is that the panel, which was being headed by Kamunge, proved to be incompetent. It acted with a lot of conflict of interest in executing its mandate. Allowing a panellist to go back to be interviewed by the same colleagues is the worst crime that the panel committed. The TSC is an institution which requires a lot of dignity. Unless we rise above party politics and protect the TSC, we are bound to fail. ... view
