  • 22 Dec 2021 in Senate: Bw.
  • 22 Dec 2021 in Senate: Bw.
  • 22 Dec 2021 in Senate: Alliance (OKA); ndugu zangu, Mhe. Kalonzo Musyoka, Mhe. Musalia Mudavadi, Sen. Gideon Moi, Mhe. Asante, Bw. Spika. view
  • 22 Dec 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, is it in order for the distinguished Senator for Uasin Gishu County, who ordered that this afternoon all our well wishes and farewell for the year must be in Swahili--- She must understand and know that what is good for the goose must be good for the gander. view
  • 21 Dec 2021 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker Sir. view
  • 21 Dec 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker Sir, is it in order for the distinguished and respected Sen. Cheruiyot for Kericho County to make reference to Kalenjins? Is there any single Senator here called Kalenjins? The Standing Orders are very clear that every Senator--- You can see the continuing disorder. view
  • 21 Dec 2021 in Senate: Every Senator can only refer to another Senator as “Senator so and so” or to follow my example “distinguished Senator so and so”. So who is “distinguished Senator Kalenjin” here? view
  • 21 Dec 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to remind the distinguished Senator for Kirinyaga County that I am not ‘one’ Senator, I am ‘the’ Senator. I will give him a few tutorials on good English. I beg to second this Motion that has been ably moved by my Chairman of the Committee on Finance and Budget. The BPS is a fundamental constitutional requirement in law. The National Treasury must tell the country through Parliament its intention to roll out a budget. A budget that is realistic and one that helps this country to achieve its growth targets. Hon. Members must be very ... view
  • 21 Dec 2021 in Senate: That growth is not a figure from the Senate, but from the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Planning. Based on that figure, the Committee recommends to this House that the allocation of revenue for the financial year that is now rolling out must move from Kshs370 billion to Kshs495 billion. That reflects the growth that the Treasury itself has told us. We should probably be asking for more, but we are only holding them to account on what they have brought to the Senate and my Chairman has said it clearly. Our interest is to ensure that devolution works ... view
