By virtue of his position as co-principal in NASA he was retained as Minority Leader in the 12th Parliament but later replaced by his Siaya counterpart after 19 senators who attended Nasa's Parliamentary Group meeting at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi unanimously voted to replace him with Senator James Orengo on 15th March, 2018.

I urge the Committee to look into this matter seriously. We have had cases of students muggings, murders and attacks not only at Masinde Muliro University, but many other universities as well. Young female students have been lured into social places by men with money who end up killing them. This has to come to a stop. I urge the Committee, in looking at Telewa’s matter, to also engage the security agencies and the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government on what special attention they are doing to give our students security while at the institutions of ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I feel very distressed hearing what the Chairperson of the Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights has told the House this afternoon. The petition to this House was by the family members of the victims of the Ethiopian Airline air crash alleging that the Government had failed to provide support for them in accessing death certificates and providing counselling services to them to deal with the trauma. The Chairperson of the Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights has without batting an eye lid told the House that the Committee does not make any ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a serious matter. I expected my distinguished learned friend, Sen. Omogeni, who is also a Senior Counsel, to tell this House and the families that there is no privity of contract between the passengers of the flight that crashed on 10th March 2019 and Boeing as a manufacturer. The privity of contract is between the passengers and the Ethiopian Airlines.
