asked the Minister for Finance:- (a) how much money is currently held by Policy Holders Protection Fund established under Cap.487 in September, 2004; (b) whether he could inform the House the amount of money contributed to the Fund by insurance companies; and, (c) how many people have so have benefitted from this Fund.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a very serious case. A human being has disappeared. This incident happened in January, 2005. The Assistant Minister is saying that they are still carrying out preliminary investigations. By now, if the police were serious, they should have been able to come up with something more cogent than what the Assistant Minister is saying. Could he inform the House what preliminary investigations they have done? As far as the family is concerned, the police have been very slow in pursuing this matter.
