Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) It is true that the Treasury, through my Ministry, had allocated Kshs283, 200,000 to the Nairobi City Council for the purchase of land for a cemetery. Some of the issues that the hon. Member has raised are, indeed, tabulated in that particular document. I do not want to enumerate the criteria, because I was not in the tender committee. All

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have said that the documents I have not seen are those that relate to the transaction or communication between the lawyer and the vendor. I have no qualms over the matter being referred to the relevant Departmental Committee. However, I will be very happy if this matter is investigated thoroughly so that we can get to the bottom of it. Therefore, it is perfectly in order for ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, when I say that the dues will be settled, I really do not have to pronounce my title. I am very clear that when I say that the dues will be settled, that communication will go to the respective councils to make sure that their dues are given as required and accurately.
