But we failed in the sense of not being bold enough. Maybe, there was not enough time to identify the non-core areas. It is important that those issues are addressed. view

We need to appreciate that the National Executive has a role through the National Treasury. Therefore, as we executive our mandate, we do not do so independent of other organs of State. This morning, we had a conversation regarding the investment centre itself. The Sports Fund is not getting enough money and a lot can be said about the universities and the colleges. This one is very close to my heart because I was a bit involved in getting it going - Embu University. All the other universities do not seem to have enough money. It is a pity I have found myself going out and coming back at times. I think going forward, we will need to appreciate the role of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
