The same Committee proposes an additional Kshs200 million to be made to the Office of the Attorney-General and the Department of Justice for State Law Office. Hon. Speaker, most of us may not know but you would know this as a lawyer of many years’ standing that the salaries that are paid to lawyers in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and in the State Law Office are significantly lower than salaries paid to their equivalent professionals in the Judiciary.
