Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I wish to move:- (ii) THAT, Clause 34(2)(e) be amended by deleting the phrase âCommissioner of Policeâ and substituting therefor the phrase âThe person for the time being exercising command over the National Police Service.â Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want it to be amended in this manner to reflect the provisions of the Constitution because the police will be headed by an Inspector-General of Police and not Police Commissioner.
