  • 10 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for this opportunity. I wish to support this Bill. As I support, I also wish to thank the Mover as well as register my thanks for the existence of this fund. Had it not been for this fund, some of us would not have received university education. view
  • 10 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: I support the increased participation and representation in the affairs of the fund. The introduction of representatives from the students’ community is a welcome idea. I believe this will go a long way towards ensuring that students benefit a great deal. I also want to point out the question of equity in the allocation of funds for this Fund. A student would apply for Kshs40,000 and would end up being given around Kshs21,000. As such, the student would ... view
  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker for this opportunity. I also rise to support the Bill. It is important that regulations are in place for the control of alcoholic drinks. Most important is the fact that this Bill seeks to promote farmers. I want to mention the issue of crops like the cassava crop. Down at the Coast, cassava is grown but there is no market for it. The enactment of this law will create a market for cassava and other crops. I support the Bill. view
  • 23 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I believe that the existence of the word ‘may’ in this particular Clause may lead to abuse of discretion by administrators. Therefore, I support the Committee’s position. view
  • 23 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: In as much as this particular clause takes care of the issue of technicalities, I also tend to believe it introduces some element of certainty in the manner in which applications are supposed to be filed. I support. view
  • 15 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for this opportunity. I wish to say that I support this Bill. Indeed, this is a very progressive Bill. I must say that in as much as the Bill seeks to exclude the disciplined forces, it is my view that they should equally be guided by the provisions of Section IV of this Bill and whatever administrative action they take, they should do it in a very efficient, lawful, reasonable, procedural and fair manner view
  • 2 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support this amendment. view
