  • 19 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: on a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. My point of order is not about omena . But surely, you heard the hon. Member say she is able to substantiate the issue of corruption. I think it is only fair and in order not to offend the dignity of the House, for her to do so. view

  • 19 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: We have downgraded the dignity of Kenyans by the way we have conducted ourselves. We have chosen to dwell on side shows instead of dealing with key issues and find solutions collectively. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have given direction on issues of laptops and so on; I hope that the prices of those laptops, as compared, for example, to the price of unga will feature in your direction. Is it not in order for the hon. Member to withdraw and apologise? view
  • 10 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support the Motion as amended. I must say that I am very pleased that we have included the issues of 1992, 1997 as well as the issue of banditry. From Laikipia and Samburu about 100,000 people have been displaced from their land because of continued cattle rustling and banditry over the last five to ten years. I have one principal reason for supporting this Motion: The whole purpose of a State is the protection of human lives and furtherance of fundamental rights and freedoms. Articles 32, 36, 38 and 39 of Chapter Four ... view
  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is true that the Leader of Government Business gave an undertaking last week on Thursday, that the Minister would issue the statement on the recruitment of Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) today. I am aware that the statement was prepared. However, as you will notice on the record of the HANSARD, the Leader of Government Business referred to the Minister. He said Minister Kosgey will be here to issue the statement. Under those circumstances, I do not have the written statement with me--- view
