The alternative route that the Assistant Minister is talking about goes down the Crater. However, that road leads people to the top of the Crater. There is a difference between the bottom of the crater and the top of the crater. view
• 11 May 2011 in National Assembly: So, I do not think he is in order to mislead people that we have done a road down the crater. Here, we are talking about a road, which goes on top of the crater. Tourists are not interested with the geothermal, or whatever that is happening down there, but they are interested to see the Crater from the top. view

I am aware the Ministry given out a lot of money to other, maybe, not very useful roads in the country. This is a very important road. The same Ufundi SACCO was given a building after the one that was bombed. So, that building should not be a cause of them not refunding money back to the people, because what we save in co- operatives is not used for investment. view

Could he assure the House that he will increase patrols along the road, so that the insecurity can be taken care of? view
