  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Education to explain why Rurichu, Bellevue, Githura, Mweiga, Kiria, Wendiga and Embaringo primary schools in Kieni Constituency are exempted from the National School Feeding Programme. view
  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me first of all, thank the WFP for giving food to some of these schools in my constituency for all that time. Let me also thank the Minister for having come to Endarasha Secondary School which had its dormitory burnt down last week. I want the Minister to clarify whether the Ministry can consider, as a matter of emergency, supplying some food to these schools that are now not receiving any food from the WFP. view
  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Minister tell us whether there are chances that the WFP will resume supply of food to these schools, especially now that we have been told that come next year, the country may face drought? view
  • 14 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance:- (a) how long it takes to transfer ownership of a motor vehicle from one person to another after all necessary fees have been paid; and, (b) what measures he is taking to speed up the exercise. view
  • 14 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is misleading the House. Maybe he has been misled. Before I prove that, I want him to tell us whether the owner of a vehicle is the one who collects the logbook or it is sent to him. view
  • 14 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to prove that it takes more than one year to register and receive a logbook of a motor vehicle. I know that there are many people who are suffering out there. I have a document where the owner paid all the charges on 22nd September, 2009 and up to now, the document has never been sent to her. The person’s name is Teresa Nyandia Warugongo. If a wife of a Member of Parliament can wait for a logbook for more than one year, what about a common mwananchi out there? view
  • 13 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the work being done on roads in my constituency is so shoddy that we have actually stopped all payments. We have written to the Minister asking him to send his engineers to come and inspect the work being done in Kieni Constituency so that they can tell us what to do. The roads are bad and the work being done is shoddy. We need his engineers to come on the ground. view
  • 13 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am talking about all the roads that are being either graded or murramed. view
  • 30 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Transport:- view
  • 30 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: (a) whether he is aware that due to delay and costly storage charges at the port, the cost of such essential goods as medicine escalate drastically; and, view
