  • 13 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Public Health and Sanitation whether she could consider making it a policy to conduct circumcision of all baby boys at birth as a measure of reducing HIV/AIDs infections. view
  • 13 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I must thank the Assistant Minister for that elaborate answer. However, considering that circumcision reduces the chances of boys and young men contracting the HIV/AIDs virus, I thought it was in order for the Assistant Minister to come up with a policy to help many Kenyan children undergo the cut. Because this is not possible, what fraction of Kenyans undergo circumcision? view
  • 13 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell us the department in his Ministry that deals with this particular subject of circumcision vis-a-viz HIV/AIDS transmission? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, Kieni has about 3,000 IDPs who came from the Rift Valley and other places. Could the Minister inform the House what arrangements she has made to resettle them? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir. In my constituency, 100 per cent of the money that was sent by the Minister for KKV was stolen. I asked for a list of the young men who did the work, but I did not get one. I support Mheshimiwa Imanyara that a comprehensive audit should be done first before we go to Phase II. view

  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do sincerely appreciate the answer given by the Assistant Minister about the death of Gitonga King’ori of Miteru Village, Kimahuri in Kieni. I will try and inform the family and ask them why they have not forwarded a claim to the Ministry. In the meantime, this death could not have happened were the fence around Mt. Kenya complete. I have brought this issue severally in this House. I have asked the Assistant Minister to complete the fence but now he has said that the project will be completed. There are several projects on the Mt. ... view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want the Assistant Minister to visit the Mt. Kenya fence. It would be in order for him to give me a date when he can come over and have a look at the various projects of Mt. Kenya electric fence. We have the Umma fence in Irieini Ward done by local community; Mt. Kenya West, Gikumbo/Gikundu, Mt. Kenya Estate fence and Sirimon. I want him to come to the ground and see the truth. Could he give me a date now? view
