to substantiate a problem that everybody knows about, as a House, why should we not propose to audit all the employees of the KRA, so that we see whether their incomes are commensurate with what they own? I do not need to substantiate because it is common knowledge.

What I am saying is that no Kenyan would be reluctant to pay taxes, if there would be transparency in the usage of the revenue collected and most important, if they can be assured that every cent of the revenues collected goes to address the problems that are bedevilling our country.

On Clause 20. The earlier amendment was lost. If it is lost, then we revert to the clause as it is. When our records show that it is further amendment, it then tends to give the impression that there was an earlier amendment when the other one was negatived. I thought it is just important to put it on record.

Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, these are fairly technical terms. As we debate, let us not get into confusion. Hon. Musimba is not talking about a database but a data centre. In fact, the Bill does not talk about database. So, let us not confuse the two. A data centre and a database are not the same thing. Database is stored in a data centre and not the other way round. It is not only in a data centre where you can store data.
