  • 14 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am glad the Assistant Minister sees this matter as important. Unfortunately, he has not indicated what they will do to parents and teachers who will interfere with this case. The Assistant Minister is aware that the chair of the PTA, a Mr. Gaturu, sent a Press Statement to all the media houses, which included the details of this young man, and the name of his parents. What steps is the Ministry going to take to ensure that irresponsible parents like him are dealt with in a proper manner? view
  • 14 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I stand here to support the Motion to adopt the two reports. I want to thank very much our Speaker and Parliament for allowing our participation as Members of the Pan African Parliament (PAP). The PAP is faced with financial constraints. • 31 May 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to move that the Sexual Offences Bill be now read the Third Time. view

  • 27 Apr 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the hon. Member to misrepresent a section of the Bill? The Bill clearly does not provide minimum sentences for teenagers. There is an exception for children. Is it in order, therefore, to mislead the House by using the example he has given. view
