  • 21 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Would I be in order to ask the Chair to look at the authenticity of the document being referred to by the hon. Member, so that what he is saying is not taken up by the Press if the document is not authenticated? Would it also not be in order for him to have the document laid on the Table since he has quoted it? view
  • 21 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Could we be told whether the Chief Editor of Kenya Times Media Trust is the author of that document because he quoted it? We need to know if the document is from J. Kamau of the National Intelligence or if it is from the Kenya Times Media Trust. view
  • 21 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I am concerned about the standards of this House. The hon. Member has been saying that hon. Members are wasting his time. Is he in order to defy the Standing Orders of this House? view

Members and moving from one home to another to condole the families of those who are departed. We have no words for that! Secondly, I am looking at the gapping spaces of where each and everyone of those who served in this Parliament usually loved to sit. All we can do is to remember them. They will have fond memories of these hon. Members. All we can do is wish them peace ... view

  • 29 Mar 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me give an apology because I was unable to see you earlier on. However, the issue I want to raise requires the ruling of the Chair. I do not want to dwell on the Report of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). I am an hon. Member of that Committee. A ruling is still being awaited from the Chair as to when we can discuss that Report. If you look at The People Daily today, it has gone into a great deal of quoting that Report. No other newspaper has done so. The point I am ... view

  • 29 Mar 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to support this Motion, which is basically something that has been done repeatedly over the years. Essentially, the reason for exempting this day from normal business is that we have seven days of discussing the Presidential Address. It is not because of any other points that are being raised. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to support. view
  • 29 Mar 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I think the hon. former Minister should confine himself to duties that he knows best. Is he aware that the Chief Whip has the powers to hire and fire people? view
  • 29 Mar 2006 in National Assembly: That is why I did it! view
