  • 17 Apr 2024 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to echo what my colleagues have said. Hon. Duale is a man that I have been with in Parliament for a very long time. He is the only Cabinet Secretary who I gave accolades to when he was appointed because I believe in his capacity and capability, which will ensure he does a good job. What many of these Kenyans are asking is whether you have done an audit. This audit is meant to give you the list of the outfits, health facilities or companies that have been providing these health services to our people. If so, is it possible for you, for purposes of accountability and transparency, to give the list within the regions where these companies come from? By the time you are transitioning to the social health ... view
  • 27 Mar 2024 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was nearly becoming anxious because I have not had an opportunity to meet the Cabinet Secretary before she became the Cabinet Secretary. The last time I was with her, she was making a political commentary on the television. She told me that they will win and we will lose, but I told her that they will lose and we will win. Then, she told me that, in fact, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his friends and everybody will go. I am now shocked that the other side is now telling Mama Ngina “sorry”. I was excited ... view

In the morning, the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Roads and Transport in this country was in this House. However, I did not have an opportunity to contribute. He answered the question as to why we are having accidents, but I felt like his answer was not satisfactory and I did not have an opportunity to ask him any question. What is the international best practice right now? Go to two or three countries within the region, the Government and, ... view
