A month ago, I posed a Question to the Cabinet Secretary for Industry, Trade and Cooperatives concerning why he has not appointed a member of the board to represent small shareholders for the last five years. Again, I sought from why after the lapse of the lease of the East African Portland Cement Company, he has allowed them to sell the land. The Land Act is very clear. Once a lease lapses, there cannot be any other reason for that particular leasee to sell the land. view
