  • 22 Oct 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I want to support this Motion. I also want to congratulate the Government for introducing the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, the Women Enterprise Development Fund, Uwezo Fund, the Equalisation Fund and the Fund for the aged. They say that live begins at 40. Most people nowadays are marrying at the age of 35. This is the time when most people are serious. If we introduce a fund that will take care of the people between the ages of 35 and 50 years, I can assure you that it will be utilized. As ... view
  • 15 Oct 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I must admit from the outset that the system of ranking that we are using is not fair. I was in this House at 2.30 p.m., when the Leader of the Majority Party was speaking. I pressed the button for my microphone at that time, but I have seen people coming later and being given time to speak. view
  • 15 Oct 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I withdraw but it is just a point to note. I have always said that President Uhuru Kenyatta means well to this country, save for his handlers. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the world now knows that Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is a person who respects the Constitution of this country and the rule of law. We should ask ourselves: Why did that one happen? Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, as we speak, there are Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). There are people who are living in the streets and in paper houses. All that happened because of political misunderstanding ... view
  • 27 Aug 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this chance. First of all, I stand to support the Motion by hon. Diriye. The issuance of identity cards in this county is really wanting. Having an identity card in this country is like having a ticket to Heaven. I support the issuance of identity cards, but the amendment is untimely. This is because the issue of the issuance of identity cards is not solved. The Motion is self explanatory that every eligible citizen in this country should be issued with an identity card. So, if you bring in the issue ... view
  • 27 Aug 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I oppose the amendment. view
  • 20 Aug 2014 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to support what the latter Member of Parliament has said that this Motion is national. Although the word “ boda boda ” originated from western Kenya, I would have wished the Seconder to just nod his head so that we contribute to this Motion. That is because this is a very important Motion. view
  • 20 Aug 2014 in National Assembly: I want to support hon. David Ochieng’s Motion. I request that we are given five or three minutes so that we can ventilate on it. view
  • 22 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. Pursuant to Standing Order 44 (2) (c), I wish to request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Department Committee on Administration and National Security regarding the infringement of privacy of citizens through CCTVs in Machakos County. Hon. Deputy Speaker, the installation of CCTV surveillance systems in public areas such as roads--- view
  • 22 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker. I am a victim of circumstances. I have been captured by the same and it has been news in wrong ways. Since my life is under threat, I wish that the Chairperson gives it in, maybe, one week or even two days. This is because this matter is life-threatening. The Governor of Machakos is really on my case. I think we have lost Members of Parliament through threats. If a CCTV can capture me when I am addressing residents and I am warned, it is a matter of concern in this House. view
  • 22 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Yes, hon. Speaker. It is a matter of life and death. I do not want you to mourn me. I want you to act now. view
