  • 28 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: The ICT sector moved Kenya to a middle level economy but that is where we stopped. Are we optimising our fibre optic networks? We invested heavily in having fibre optics cables coming to Kenya. Today, what do we utilise them for? We are just on social media, but we do not optimise these platforms to get work from outside countries, deal with it in realtime when they are asleep and when they wakeup, they get their work is ready. That is improving competitiveness with those people. view
  • 28 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: On our political set up, how do we grow our politics? We have to get to a point where we know that our political setup has heralded a political economy, people who are active in politics and growing our governance space. We must mainstream these people so that they are not lost. This is the arena of lobbyists. Who will be out there to see the best practices and how do we grow the practices for the betterment of our nation? Being Kenyan is not an accident. As we look at our great nation, its essence, power and above ... view
  • 14 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: In our parliamentary Standing Orders, our prayers before a sitting ought to change and become the national anthem in reverence of our national flag. It is a prayer that upholds each of us, binds and reminds us of our call to duty as each individual Kenyan and our call towards patriotism and what we need to give back to this great nation. This august House remains the epitome of that sacrifice in the modern times. Members of Parliament come here through a rigorous democratic process, so that we keep upholding the spirit, law and letter of what we stand for, ... view

  • 14 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: As we even move forward towards our East African integration and embracing the national anthem and those symbols of their flags, it has to be on the basis of a foundation. We know it is a great journey which we have walked and we will continue to walk. We want to look at our visions like Vision 2030 and build our political, economic and social pillars. This has to remain a profound thing for each of us, so that these symbols do not just become a passage of time but become an epitome. I heard a question on whether the ... view
