(a) I am aware that the Sololo District Education Officer (DEO) does not have a motor vehicle, while two Land Rover vehicles which were allocated to the Moyale District Education Office in the year 2003 are grounded and require major repairs. (b) I am also ware that some districts do not have Deputy DEOs. The Sololo DEO will be considered for a vehicle alongside other 100 DEOs who have no vehicles when the Ministry gets budgetary allocation for from Treasury in the next financial year. • 13 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, as I said, we are going to ensure that the two vehicles that are grounded are working. That is a directive we have given, so that we provide money, latest in January, 2012, to have those vehicles repaired, so that they can be in use. In the meantime, as I have indicated, Sololo District will be budgeted for in regard to acquisition of a new vehicle for it. view
