Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Education. In January this year, the Ministry of Education, through the Kenya Institute of Education (KIE) implemented changes in the school syllabus allowing students to take simpler sciences as opposed to pure sciences. Last week, the Ministry, through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), issued a restriction on the implementation of the changes it had earlier done.
